Young children need to move to learn!
Use the Jump Spots to engage children in recognizing and reading high frequency/sight words, while they get to jump from word to word!
Great for centers, free choice and small groups.
INCLUDES 50 SIGHT WORDS!
In my classroom, I rotate sight words and students have to jump on and read 5 sight words every time they go out the door. For me, it's a fun, easy way to make sure my kids are reading our focus high frequency words, frequently!
There are so many ways to use Jump Spots:
-Make a sight word path and have the students read each word and try to get to the end.
-Partner students and ask them to leap frog from word to word, reading them out loud.
-Ask students to spell the word when they land.
-Have students jump a path, reading as they go and then write down the words in the order that they jumped on them!
-Ask students to make sight word sentences and jump their sentences.
Print on cardstock or paper. Laminate or place in plastic sleeves. Tape to the floor to avoid slips!
