SIGHT WORD BASEBALL GAME IS INCLUDED IN THE BASEBALL MATH AND LITERACY ACTIVITIES PRODUCT
I call my game, The Minnesota Twins Game and the kiddos in my class LOVE IT!
I bring this game out with the start of the baseball season every spring.
Name your favorite Baseball team and your kiddos will love this game!
Copy 117 baseball sight cards
18 strike cards
9 top side cards
(Copy the top side card on each card for security.)
Trophy cards (optional)
Copy on cardstock – cut - laminate
2-4 players per set
(I like to use about 50-60 sight word cards, so choose what is appropriate to your group plus all the strike cards.)
How to Play:
Turn all cards face down on the table.
Students take turns drawing one card and reading the word. If they get it right they may keep it. If it is wrong return if back to the table. The turn moves to the next person and rotates around the table. If you draw a strike card you keep it, but your turn is done. Game continues until a kiddo gets 3 strike cards then that kiddo is out of the game. The game continues until there is only one person left that does not have 3 strike cards, that kiddo is the winner.
The anticipation was high and they were playing while learning! The kids even ask to play the game during free play.
