Kindergarten Spelling and 1st Grade Spelling List - Word walls just take up too much valuable classroom wall space and take too much time managing. I have a better solution, spelling lists. I find these quick reference lists work much better since they are portable and kids can use them at home as well as in class.
One half page of spelling words for Kindergarten and one half page for 1st Grade that come in 14 colors including a black & white version. The other 4 designed sets come in 10 colors along with a black and white version. You can use one color for a table or classroom or mix them up like a box of crayons! This is meant as a quick reference for students when writing with the most common used words for that grade. It is not a complete spelling program.
You can print up one color set for homework folders, another set for writing folders, yet another set for a writing center. If you have tables you can print up a set up for the table totes. These quick reference spelling lists are an easy way to help kids with their writing at home or at school.
Using the spelling lists:
• Print lists on white or colored cardstock.
• Laminate lists and they will last a long time.
• Keep lists in writing folders and homework folders.
• Keep lists in totes on tables around the classroom.
• Copy lists back to back. Select double-sided when printing and "Flip on Long Edge.
• Combine with my other grade level lists for differentiation.
