These passages, which align with the Science of Reading, are ideal for students who are reading at Guided Reading Level C (DRA Level 3) and/or transitioning to Guided Reading Level D (DRA Level 4).

This resource was redesigned in May of 2021 to reflect my current understanding of The Science of Reading.
The original packet, which includes an additional 30 reading comprehension passages with three questions per passage, is also included. I recommend using this set for choral reading and comprehension work.
In the Original Version, Each Passage Is Presented In Four Formats.
★ Full color version with crayons for students to color-code where they found the answer for each question
★ Ink saving black and white version with crayons to color-code evidence
★ Full color version in a standard format, without color-coding
★ Black and white version in a standard format, without color-coding
I am finding that, with guided practice, kids quickly develop the skills they need to be successful reading these passages and independently answering the multiple choice questions.
