These worksheets allow young students to explore the various aspects of their bodies. There are 5 worksheets listed below.
Clean Bodies - This worksheet has students match various products/tools used to keep their bodies clean and healthy. It is for both JK and SK.
My Body on the Outside - This worksheet introduces students to the names of many of the visible parts of the body. There are separate JK and SK pages. The JK page has students trace the names of the body parts, whereas the SK page has the students write the words themselves. I created an enlarged chart paper version of the SK worksheet and large labels for the different parts, then had the students sound out the words and place them in the appropriate places on the chart paper. The SKs could then copy the words from the chart.
My Body on the Inside - This worksheet has students start to explore the parts of the body that aren't visible. There are separate JK and SK worksheets. Both sheets have the students write the name of the part within the description of how that part helps the body, but the SKs can also cut out the parts and glue them in the appropriate place in the body.
I did not include name or date on the sheets as I put them all in duotangs for the students to work through.
These worksheets correspond to the Ontario Kindergarten curriculum through discussing personal hygiene (1.3), and demonstrating an awareness of healthy living on the body (1.1).
