Looking at the National Core Art Standards can be overwhelming! So let's break it down. This document contains an overall look at JUST Kindergarten standards in all four Artistic Processes of visual arts: Creating, Presenting, Responding, and Connecting. This document breaks it down standard by standard.
For each standard, I have written out the anchor standard, standard code, description of the standard. In addition to what the National Core Art Standards give us I have included an "I can" statement for each standard, as well as a checklist for specific skills a Kindergarten student should know within that standard.

Upon completing Kindergarten, visual arts students will be able to…
This document contains a two page (or one front and back) color coded chart that elegantly provides the above information for each standard.
This document also comes with a single page "cheat sheet." This segment of the document acts as an easy to read "check list." It is here that all of the "Upon completing Kindergarten, visual arts students will be able to…" Statements are compiled. Next to each statement is the standard code for you to be able to easily find it's coordinating "I can" statement. This document can easily be printed for every student and as skills are mastered, items can be checked off the list.
The document contains a full page "How to use this document" as well. See the preview!
