The Kindergarten Weekly Alphabet Homework is designed to give students practice with alphabet skills including letter identification, letter sounds, phonemic segmentation, and writing letter-sound correspondences at various levels. There is one assignment for each week of the school year. All the activities are designed to encourage parental support with each assignment. This resource can help teachers in designing their literacy curriculum as well.
The alphabet homework includes assignments dealing with: 1) an alphabet introduction, 2) matching upper and lowercase letters, 3) beginning sound sorts, 4) ending sound sorts, 5) segmenting sound activities, 6) medial vowel sound sorts, and 7) digraphs and blends activities.
