WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT on the first day of Kindergarten, and you can, too! This EDITABLE Scavenger Hunt lesson plan comes with all you need to create a memorable 1st Day / 1st Week of Kindergarten!
Lead your students who are new to the building on a BEAR HUNT throughout the school to acquaint them with the layout as they meet familiar faces they will see throughout the year!
Grab some teddy bears and get your staff on board! My co-workers LOVE being a part of this. Each teacher/ staff member included is given a bear with a clue that will lead the students to the next person.
Catchy rhyming clues come in FULL PAGE or HALF PAGE sizes. Choose which clues you want to include in your hunt. Use all clues or only 5 or 6!
EDIT any clue as needed and rearrange in the order you like! Laminate to use Year after Year!
Students read clues and find bears along the way that lead the lead them to the teachers of Spanish, Art, Gym, Music, Library as well as the Nurse’s Office, Main Office, Principal, Reading Specialist, Math Support, & Guidance Counselor (again -whichever ones you choose to include)! I limit my hunt to include 6 staff members.
Also included: Blank Templates to Create Your Own Clues, Teacher Tips Page, Letter to Participating Staff Members to get them involved, and a student coloring page!
I have done this for years, and I am so thrilled to share it with you! I would love to hear how this works out for you!
