Did you know February is Random Acts of Kindness month? In my classroom, we talked about kindness each and every day, but I made a point to spend even more time on it in February.

This packet is FULL of activities, printables, writing pages, and more to get your students thinking about kindness and acting kind!

Kindness Poem
This fun rhyming poem is perfect for shared reading, morning meeting, or poetry notebooks! I've included a full page version, half page version, and a page for them to draw their mental image.

Kindness Task Cards
I've included over 40 different tasks for your class to complete, including writing letters to soldiers, collecting canned food for a shelter, and helping the custodian clean up trash. I've also included a parent letter to send home about the projects and a "Kindness Bingo" sheet for students to complete on their own! I also added a "Pay it Forward" card to attach to projects that your class completes to encourage others to spread kindness!

Letter Writing Templates
One simple way to spread kindness is to write letters to people at home, school, and in the community. I've included over 25 different papers to write letters to everyone from firemen, nurses, parents, and more! These are perfect to add to a writing center or to use for fast finishers!

Kindness Journal and Award
I've included a kindness journal for students to draw about how they showed kindness today. I also added an award to pass out when you notice someone being extra kind.

"Our Class Is Kind" Chain
Your students will work together to create a chain full of acts of kindness. Students will write about it when their friends are kind and add it to the chain.

Quote Posters
I created 4 posters with simple but powerful quotes about kindness. They're perfect to use in classroom meetings to discuss and then have students color the posters! They'd make a great display in your classroom as reminders all year long!

Finally, you'll find a few printables about kindness to have students complete for morning work, as fast finishers, or as a reflection! :)
