I designed these 24 cards to promote empathy and facilitate discussion about how we all want to be treated—with kindness! There are many ways to use these kindness cards in your classroom:

--discuss scenarios as a class or in small groups

--as a 5-minute time filler activity

--as task cards for independent thinking

--during a persuasive reading or writing unit, you could have students pair up and discuss the best way to handle each situation, supporting their ideas with reasons or evidence

--create a bulletin board with student ideas, possibly even graphing student responses

--as a Morning Meeting activity
