This resource is now EDITABLE!
Random Acts of Kindness Week is in February and February is great month to promote kindness in the classroom. And it's easy to do with this 28-day KINDNESS CHALLENGE!
Each student is given a challenge sheet with 28 ways they can be kind at school. The acts of kindness are completely EDITABLE, so you can use my pre-filled ideas or add your own!
I didn't want to include acts of kindness for home, as I cannot monitor those. I display each child's challenge sheet on the wall in my classroom as a daily visual reminder. If you don't have the wall space for this, you could always have the students keep them at their desks.
As each child completes an act of kindness, they will color in that box. At the end of the 28-day challenge, students that have completed all 28 acts of kindness will receive a kindness certificate and even a prize if you choose to do so. We wear "Be Kind" shirts at my school every Wednesday, so I am planning to give each child that completes the challenge a "Be Kind" shirt and a "Kind" Brand fruit bar.
Challenge sheets come in four styles to choose from; one for a boy, one for a girl, and two that include both a boy and a girl. Kindness Certificates are also included for a girl and a boy.
*NOTE: You will need PowerPoint to edit.
Good luck with your classroom challenge and remember "Always be kind!"
