I am honored to be apart of this collaborative effort to bring more awareness about kindness to the school environment. We all can have a refresher in ways to show kindness. As a speech pathologist, I work on kindness all the time!
My students with social pragmatic deficits need support with understanding how to share, be a good friend, helping others, etc. Inside this resource is a “what is kindness” wallet craftivity that teaches about all the ways students can show kindness to others. The other kindness wallet is a kindness challenge wallet. Students can keep track of their random acts of kindness they complete with their kindness challenge wallet. When they do something kind, they can color in a heart under the area that they showed kindness. This is a way to visually help them reflect about their own acts of kindness. The foldable wallet books can be showcased on a bulletin board or stored in the student’s desk.
These kindness wallet books are great for kindness week!
Directions for assembly:
Print one of the wallet templates for the kindness wallet cover that you want (there are two different styles to pick) on colored paper or cardstock. One page will make two wallets. Then, print the “what is kindness” wallet or the “kindness challenge” wallet. Cut out the foldable and glue into the wallet. The ID can be cut off and glued on the inside. Keep the foldables together and fold along the edges to get the accordion look. You can fold and unfold the articulation cards as you want!
