Description
What Kind Classmates Do and What Kind Kids Do are storybook lessons for kindergarten and early primary students that can be used as bulletin board sets. Discussing how to be a kind classmate to teach classroom rules is a positive way to promote following the golden rule and basic school routines, just as reading, talking about and reviewing ways to be a kind kid nurtures friendship and positive relationships.
Dedicate a bulletin board to making a kindness quilt, filling the patches with examples of kindness depicted in drawings, photos, and text with the templates ready to go! The squares can go home with students at the end of the year.
I have included Kind Kid ribbons to acknowledge particularly special acts of kindness.
This storybook / poster / bulletin board set is provided in color and line art, and is particularly effective when the color version is used as a storybook, and pages of the line art version are divided up among students to color in pairs and share prior to posting.
