This puzzle, based on the play by William Shakespeare, is designed to be used when you have finished studying the play, and when students are familiar with all of the characters, locations and some quotations from the play.
It could be used for revision, or as an open-book test. It could be used as a filler exercise on a day when you have nothing else prepared.
There are 38 entries. All of the important characters and locations mentioned in the play provide answers to clues. Other clues are keywords from quotations from the play. I have selected quotations which I feel are important in terms of the major themes in the play.
The solution to the puzzle is provided on the second page.
Download the solution page (Preview File) to see the grid and all of the words included in the puzzle.
There is a word bank to assist students in completing the crossword. You could redact this to make it more challenging.
