Description

Treasure! Primary Documents! Common Core! What kid is not interested in treasure? Primary documents and common core, not so much. This fun 5 day small group or whole group lesson uses Howard Carter's narrative of his discovery of King Tut's tomb. The lesson is complete with historical background, the narrative, H.O.T questions, vocabulary activity, text-based questions, fun writing prompts, and extensions for centers.

Text-based questions and center extensions include Common Core standards and are aligned with Bloom's Taxonomy. Teachers directions for whole group and small group address numerous areas of an evaluation rubric. Links are provided for videos and informational articles for instructional strategies as well.
