Your students will love practicing their individual recorder playing and reading skills when they work their way to the top of the mountain as they try to earn the coveted title of "King" in this game.

This recorder playing & reading game is fun, spirited and can be used for many forms of assessment: recorder playing, inner hearing, error detection.

Included in this file are cards written using the beginning recorder pitches of B-A-G-E. These cards can be used for the game and can also be used as flashcards in preparation to play the game of for warm-ups. Many of the patterns come from simple BAGE songs that the students know and are familiar with so that they will be successful in playing the game.
