This lesson bundle includes everything you need to implement a kitchen equipment lesson/review in the style of a fun, competitive "Heads Up" game! One student will hold a card with the name of a piece of kitchen equipment above their head. He/she will guess the name of a that tool using clues from their group members. Clues may feature the function, shape, or materials of that tool (ex. colander: "used to drain pasta," "has holes to let water pass through," or "can be plastic or metal." Students will then be tasked to locate these items in their lab station. This game encourages review of kitchen equipment, functions, and their locations in a kitchen lab in a fun and competitive format! Keep score and determine a winner for added fun!
This game is meant for at least 2 people, but can be played in groups of any size! Students should have some prior knowledge of kitchen tool names and functions prior to playing.
