Kites Cut and Paste Puzzle
This cut-out puzzle was created to help students practice applying the properties of kites in order to solve for missing side and angle measures through this cut and paste puzzle. Properties included: two pairs of consecutive congruent sides, one pair of opposite angles are congruent, diagonals are perpendicular, no congruent angles are bisected by the diagonal. Many problems require students solve a multi-step equation or apply the Pythagorean Theorem. Problems range in difficulty. This activity was written for a high school level geometry class.
Students solve each problem, then cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet and paste onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade!
