QR Code Scavenger Hunt- Kitten Contractions: Here’s a quick overview of how this QR code scavenger hunt works:
Students find the card that says “Start” and scan the QR code to reveal the pair of clue words. They search around the room for the contraction that can be formed with the given words. Each QR code will lead them to the next card until they complete the scavenger hunt. There are 12 cards altogether in the hunt. The students won’t know if they did the hunt correctly until the very end, when they or you check their recording sheet against the answer key. This makes it a fun challenge for them!
Your students will need access to a mobile device that can scan QR codes, such as an iPad, iPod, iPod Touch, Smart Phone, Tablet. No work is required of the teacher, except to print, laminate, and place the cards around the room in random order.
*Please download the preview to see the format and the contractions up close.
