This is a great multisensory lesson based on the principles of Orton Gillingham. The focus is r-controlled / bossy "er." There are numerous activities in this packet to support understanding of r-controlled words.
R-Controlled/Bossy R (both terms are used interchangeably) include: ar, er, ir, or, and ur. The R "bosses" the vowel around, causing the vowel to sound different.
The R comes after the vowel (this helps students for spelling purposes).
