(L) Let’s Do Lunch!
Eating healthy lunches is a very important part of the day. Balancing food intake with physical education prompts a healthy lifestyle. This glyph is a visual expression of a school lunch. Not creating garbage at lunch, composting, remember starches and protein are all part of integral balance lunch.
Our division went to a balanced day, where the day is divided into thirds, with two lunch breaks. It made for less high and lows with the students. The follow up to this glyph is a use of money. The students are asked to add up there lunch. Using money manipulative with the younger students would be a good idea, and would add fun to the activity. It is here also a time to talk about not wasting lunch would be appropriate. Once again, be sure to check out our free “How To” for glyph to maximize your lesson!
