Two worksheets that align with L.5.5c
Sheet 1: synonyms and antonyms
Five sentences, each with a word underlined. At the end of the sentence, a synonym or antonym relating to that word is given. Students tell what the word means and what the sentence means.
Sheet 2: Homographs
Five sentences, each with a homograph used twice within the sentence. Students tell what the sentence means, and are encouraged to use a dictionary if they need clarification of one of the two meanings.
Please see the Preview for examples from each sheet.
