Description

This lab gets students behind the microscope and looking at different types of cells! This helps them see the real-life difference between plant an animal cells, as well as eukaryotic and prokaryotic.

In this lab, students view a plant cell, animal cell, and bacterial cell. They need to draw what they see and say whether they think that cell is prokaryotic or eukaryotic!

TEACHING TIP: Each student/lab group will need to look at 3 different cells, if you don't have enough slides of each type to give each group, set up stations and have students rotate! You could even have more than one animal cell/plant cell/bacterial cell stations to avoid students waiting on each other!

NOTE: You will need microscope slides to go with this lab!
