LEADERSHIP LESSON PLANS FOR THOSE WHO TEACH LEADERSHIP IN THE CLASSROOM!!
Many schools are moving towards incorporating more leadership skills within the classroom. Whether your school is following a leadership program or you just want to encourage leadership skills in the classroom, this resource is for you!
I teach at a school where we have adopted a leadership program that encourages a certain philosophy of thinking. We have about 30 minutes each day to incorporate many aspects of leadership including student autonomy over their own learning. At first I struggled to find resources to accompany the program, but slowly I started to create my own lessons to supplement and enhance the curriculum given. In addition, some resources that are encouraged by the program are not provided such as The Leadership Notebook. This leaves teachers either looking for or creating these resources themselves.
The Skills: Building a Foundation was created to be implemented the first few weeks of school in conjunction with the students preparing their leadership notebooks for the year. The purpose of this resource is to aid the teacher in building their school family and introducing leadership and the skills to the students as they prepare for their leadership journey ahead.
Here are some other resources created by LindyLane that will help establish a classroom focused on leadership:

The Skills: Building A Foundation has two sections. The sections are briefly described below:
~Building Relationships & Leadership Skills
This sections includes short lessons and icebreakers that can be used as activities that will help build the classroom community needed to begin a leadership program within your classroom.
~Leadership Lesson Plans & Handouts
This sections includes short leadership lessons that will prepare your students for the lessons to come as you dive into the leadership skills. The purpose of these lessons are to introduce leadership, surface leadership qualities, reflect on themselves as leaders, and become familiar with the leadership skills.
