Product Description
This collection of Christmas-themed LEGO challenge cards is a simple prep, fun way to sneak some STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning into the holiday craze. From designing the North Pole to constructing Santa’s sleigh, your little engineers will love tackling these designs. Grab your set and add them to a classroom center, engineering activity, writing lesson, or free play. There are so many ways to use these cards!

This set of free printable Christmas-themed LEGO Challenge Cards are similar to writing prompts, in that they give your students an idea for a build.

The beautiful part is that the challenge cards provide the idea, and then your students can take the idea and run with it!

For example, one card reads, “Design Santa’s Sleigh.” So your student can build a LEGO sleigh, and then her creative brain decides to build a reindeer. Then she discovers she needs to create a house so her LEGO reindeer can fly to the house to deliver presents. And so the creative thoughts just roll!

A FEW IDEAS FOR USING LEGO CHALLENGE CARDS
There are endless ways your students can use these LEGO Cards. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
★ Draw a card in between school subjects for your students to take a LEGO Brain Break.
★ Have a LEGO card race! Two students draw a card at the same time. The first person to build the item on the card wins! Play for 3 or 5 rounds.
★ Keep in a writing center. Have students choose a card, write a story, and then build their design.

GETTING READY
To prep for the activity, you can print the cards (below) on cardstock to give them extra durability. Then cut along the lines to separate them. You may want to laminate the cards to make them even sturdier.
