Subject/Level: Italian Level I
Prior Learning: Students are familiar with vocabulary for sports, games and equipment, leisure activities and hobbies, vocabulary for film and TV, extending invitations, reading programming schedules and the 24 hour clock.
Assessment Objectives: Students will demonstrate the ability to:
1. understand leisure related information in spoken and written forms 2. understand expressions regarding leisure activities in both spoken and written forms 3. properly describe games, sports, film and TV 4. write about leisure related information in a clear, organized manner
L3: Apply knowledge of language functions in order to affect comprehension and expression across contexts L4: Extract meaning from unknown words and phrases using context clues, word parts, and appropriate references L5: Demonstrate understanding of figurative expression, word relationships, and nuances in language R1: Read closely and state meaning of text.
