This product (new as of June 2016) reviews recent Libyan history focusing on the following: Moammar Gaddafy (Libyan leader from 1969 - 2011); the overthrow of Gaddafy; the policy dilemmas for the USA; post-Arab Spring chaos in Libya including ISIS terror, and more.
It includes textual information, 20 photos, and 23 political cartoons for the students to analyze. There is considerable opportunity for the students to debate US policy vis-a-vis Libya. Most teachers will learn a lot about Libya through this product.
Cooperative learning: divide the class into supporters and detractors of Gaddafy, and debate whether Libya is better off without him.
