This set of life skills task cards focuses on recognizing foods both in their cooked and uncooked state. Each task card clearly shows an uncooked food, labeled with what it is commonly called. The student must find the cooked food! This is a fabulous Task Box Filler work basket task for students with autism and special learning needs. Use to help with language development with students from 2nd grade - 12th grade, depending upon cognitive ability and independent work skills.
This is not only a very high-interest independent work task, but really helps to increase awareness of foods that the student may not eat. Many times they have seen a family member enjoy the food, as all of the foods used are commonly seen foods that most kids are familiar with.
Your students will match, clip, point to, or say the correct response and it is a wonderful independent work basket filler. My students actually ASK ME if they can do these activities! They’re so proud of what they can each accomplish on their own! (I’m proud of them too!!!)
This independent work basket set contains 20 task cards and 20 response cards. This set also comes with a label to velcro or tape onto the clear work bin. I use velcro so I can switch tasks frequently for my students to complete independently. IF YOU ARE USING CLOTHESPINS…please add a piece of soft velcro as I have shown on the preview. You can actually use the clothespins for similar activities in this series.
QUICK and EASY to put together and place in a basket work task bin!
