LIFE SKILLS Work Task – DRIVER’S LICENSE Functional Reading and Matching-Special Education
Life Skills Work Task Basket – Driver’s License and Driver Matching and Functional Reading Skills for autism and Special Education students.
Highly motivating, with real-life pictures of men and women of driving age with clear, close-up images to replicate the always “not so flattering” pictures we all take at the DMV! Your students will stay on task reading and/or matching the person and city and state where they live. This engaging activity is perfect for your independent work task area! This activity is for BOTH readers AND non-readers (Level 1 and Level 2 Licenses). This work task can touch on cities and states, as well as facial expressions. Intended for students who are of driving age. Simple, simple, simple to put together and use in your classroom TODAY!
Each "license" contains a first and last name and an address to include street name, city, state, and zip code. Your students will only need to read the name and look for the city and state on the license to match it to the correct driver OR just match the drivers. There are 25 Task Cards included in this set, with two “licenses” per task card (Level 1 and 2).
SUGGESTED IEP GOAL ALIGNMENT:
Given a work task related to a life skill which requires reading words to match a picture, or matching picture to picture, STUDENT will independently complete the activity within an allotted amount of time, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
