I always have trouble keeping documentation on my LLI students as well as my lesson plans for LLI. So I decided to create these documents to help me meet the demands of my district….lesson plans, student records, I can statements, and skills assessments (exit slips).
I have included lesson templates for all of the lessons in Leveled Literacy Intervention Red Level Q EXCEPT for the novel lessons. My lesson plan templates have each of the components of LLI and are aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Additionally, I have left four columns to document your students’ progress during the lesson. I hole punch these lesson plans, and I am keep them in my LLI documentation notebook.
I have also included an anchor chart for each of the lessons that have the “I can” statement on it along with an example to explain the skill that will be taught in each lesson.
Thirdly, I have typed up all of the word cards you need in level Q, and they are color coded to be able to separately quickly when filing them away. I have included the lesson number on the bottom of each card.
Lastly, you will receive a skills assessment/exit slip for each lesson. I use these at the end of my lesson to assess which students have mastered the skill taught that day.
I copy and laminate all anchor charts, word cards, and game boards. Students can use dry erase markers on it to circle parts, use slash, etc. Laminating it makes it reusable.
I store all of the items in the LLI folder so it is always very accessible.
I hope you enjoy! I think you will find it is super easy to plan, and the materials make you very organized .
