In my classroom, I'm always asking my students to "think outside the box," but many don't know exactly what I'm talking about. Well, after going over this handout (with examples) students have a better idea of what that expression means. In fact, after doing this activity, many students come into class and try to "stump me" after hearing a logic problem that a parent or friend has shared.
This activity is a fun and creative way to get students energized about looking at any subject in a multitude of ways. I've used this activity many different ways in my class and I'm sure you can too!!
