Product Description
My math lessons focus on student engagement and participation. I focus on developing conceptual understanding using manipulatives, specific language and activities.  My lesson plans also include differientiated tasks that cater to the varying levels in the classroom.


Goals:

1) To understand how and why the partial quotient method of division works
2) To use mathematically specific language to describe the steps in partial quotient method

Because long division using the traditional method is so difficult for many students, it is helpful for many students to have another method. This method has been successful for so many of my students and there have been many studies that have shown that students perform better using this method than the traditional.
