This hands-on Game engages students in the card game of "War" with a new history/geography twist! I used it in class to help get my students motivated in the learning of geography of out state. Many of them have never traveled outside of our parish.
Each card of the 36 cards in the deck have an image of a parish and questions as to which is more northerly or easterly..
Print pages 4-5-6-7 on cardstock to hold up better.
Students must calculate the direction/place within the state and that of their opponent's card. The player with the greatest correct answer wins that round and takes losers card. The winner with the most cards at the end of time wins.
The game is played one round or question at a time. The loser of last round goes with next question between the two players.
There is a recording sheet included.
