I have always tended to keep copies of these Memory books as a way to keep me grounded and smiling each year. They have and do bring back so many memories of my former students – good and bad. And as I meet my former students today, I simple tell them that "my brain is so overloaded, that I can only remember the good parts of teaching them". I currently have some 'books' from ever year (25+) that I have taught. I wish I would have kept more.
Many of them have said much the same but my ones from my earliest years have given me lots of ideas that have later become lessons, test questions, story ideas, jokes, music, etc.
When you run these off, run them front and back so that they are simple to collect and hang on to. I have always allowed my students to complete these the next to next to the last day. very last day I have always only had part of my students in class.
