Louisiana Math?

What could be more unusual that Math in history class? In my class nothing is or has been unusual. I've worked in everything from math to science to ELA to poetry to art to even a little history.
This project is another FREEBIE that I'm giving away as a thakyou to all of my teacher friend locally, statewide and throughout TPT for their help over the years of my own teaching.

My students always liked doing Louisiana Math because it involved things they liked and learned about or knew. These simple bell ringers allow students to do simple things such as figure out what might go with the problems ask. See sample #4 to get an idea about Strawberry Jelly which needs "Strawberries"+ a "Jar"+ sugar. Nothing fancy, Students can write anything in the blank and the equal means what the items make. I know there are many more ingredients but this is SIMPLE math made easy.

Student can even 'write' in ingredients to form an equation which makes this work interesting such as on #8-#11. You just have to be prepared for whatever comes your way.
