Kaboom cards are a versatile way to add a little fun to any learning activity. They instantly turn task cards, site word cards, fluency cards, or any other type of flash/task card into a game.
I've also included blank cards so that you can print off and write in your own task cards for othe Louisiana history facts, the possibilities are endless.
RULES OF KABOOM
Print the cards on Cardstock and then laminate them if possible, so that you don't have to do this each year. When finished place them in a Ziplock bag.
Now, shuffle them and place them face down.
Divide the class into 5-7 teams depending on class size. Start with first team and let student/teacher take turns drawing cards and reading the task. If they get the answer right they can pull the next card, then the next, then the next until they think they may have taken enough chances/worried about upcoming Kaboom/or get the answer wrong.
Teams earn one point per right answer; lose all their points for a Kaboom; lose their turn for any wrong answer.
