I began this project more than fifteen years ago in my classroom and it went well. Then recently I saw that What's New with Math by Leah had something similar on her TPT webstore. As I looked it over, she had a few items that I liked and a few that just did not work for my own Louisiana studies. I made a few modifications with my own project and updated my own for my own Tri-Centennial of Louisiana. It seems to work well for now anyway.
The quizzes are mine, the decades are mine & the ideas were mine – from way back - with a bit of tweaking from hers. I don't want to steal her ideas. I just want to represent my own 300 years of history for Louisiana.
The idea of breaking the quizzes into multiple centuries is/was mine from back at the time of the Semiquincentennial in Louisiana and my own town's Sesquicentennial a few years later. (Sesquicentennial means 150 years and Semiquincentennial means 250 years)
I just wish I could still be teaching and sitting home twiddling my thumbs dreaming of teaching. I still have so many tales/stories to tell and so many little antidotes to pass on, plus so many news ways to teach my students the same old OLD stuff.
