Because I have always loved teaching Huey Long I have always wondered just "what if" his Share Our Wealth plan had gone into effect.
No matter how you look at it, VDs are always useful in the study of history. Almost anything can be turned into a VD if you just have the understand and time to teach them, use them, and grade them. Over the years I have always found places for them and my students have become less and less afraid of them since they generally don't require a lot of writing.
Part of my use of them comes from my ELA background and just wanting to do anything interdisciplinary in scope. Of course, I have an Art background also so that leads to doing all types of art projects in history also.
