You never know what you will find when you look over new material. Strange things make you think of stuff for your own subject matter - this is one of them. I wanted my students to learn something new about some of our parishes (counties) so I created these flip-flags for them to research and do.
Print enough for each student to have one sheet, pint page one on the inside of student sheet.
On the lined side write the name of each parish seat, when parish was established, a major landmark or historical feature, who or what the parish was named after or for, and a parish festival inside the flap.
Use the blank parish map on the inside to color the parish(s) location's you were given.
