As a Louisiana history teacher of 27 years, my suggestion would be print the parks on cardstock, then laminate before cutting them out. Copy enough for every student to have at least two cards. Then copy enough answer sheets for every student to have one. Save all cards between years in a zip-lock bag,
There are blank cards in the event that Louisiana adds symbols during the year(s).
There are 44 state symbol cards so that students can practice knowing all of them. There are answer sheets, an answer key to check their work.
Ideas for student work:
• Partner/mini group work/individual work
• Scavenger work
• Play as a game like Scoot
• Pre-test like Bingo/Jeopardy
• Test prep/review/center activity
