As a long time Louisiana history teacher, I have used copies of these Task Cards for years at the end of each chapter or the end of each year. After my first year of using these I figured I would make the more permanent by laminating them. I did and used them for years and years. I even added some new ones each year just to stay ahead of the tests and new info coming down from on top. Many of them come from old Clairmont Press textbooks, Pelican Publishing textbooks, Gibbs Smith textbooks, and just my own knowledge.
I have used them as review, Spelling Bee cards, Jeopardy Cards, anything possible just to keep class interesting. My student's never knew what was coming each time they entered my classroom.
This is Set One of my cards which includes A – C. Set Two-Five will contain more to the same style of words/terms. This will get you started with Louisiana Terms that your students SHOULD know has they learn about our great state. Plus there is a blank page of eight cards so that you can fill in with words you can use till you purchase the other sets.
