Use cardstock and laminate, laminate, laminate. You will be much happier if you do. My set has lasted several years and I just keep adding to them depending on terms we have used that particular year.
We have used them early in the school year, late in the year, before testing, just as a refresher during the year. I have used them as a competition between students, between classes, ect. Each term has a point total assigned to it based on how many times it was used in the chapter, if the students SHOULD know it etc.
I general give my students "extra credit" points either on a test, the 6/9 weeks grade or the upcoming test for all the points they earn with these cards.
Laminate the cards then mix them up, ask the students the answer for each card then have them tell you what 'word' the definition means. Record the points each student earns. Play as many 'rounds' as you wish.
I have also given you two blank sheets and a score sheet.
