Product Description
I was flipping through TeachersPayTeachers the other day when I can across this elementary lesson by Mart Bauer about A Message in a Bottle and it made me think to look back in my OLD jump-drives. When I did find one, I found what I was looking for. I knew I had done something similar when I first started teaching Louisiana history so many years ago but I did it from our own perspective in Lake Charles since we also celebrate Contraband Days each year. When I dug this out it reminded so much of this other lesson but mind was over 20 years old when I first started teaching in Vinton.

My students loved it back then but I now have more and better ideas when I change middle schools in about 1996. Life moves on and you come up with other things. It was nothing fancy but I present it here in case someone wants it. It is more ELA than I do now but it’s the idea that counts, right.

Thanks Mary for reminding me of what I have forgotten over these years. It's nice when someone else jogs your memory.
