PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will work in groups of up to four to create a four-page newspaper about the colony of Louisiane/Luisiana just before France gets the colony back in 1800. Talk about the current governor, the towns of New Orleans and Natchitoches and Vermillionville, New Richmond/Baton Rouge, food, the O’Reilly ‘governorship’, cash crops, money, meetings, organizations, the new United States president, religion, the Spanish, work, the military, the revolutionary war and other things that have happened in the last 10 - 15 years or so (1785-1800).

A rubric has been included for this 100 point project which includes illustrations, maps writing, and group work.
