The Nature Scavenger Hunt, created by Maryna Svirska-Otero, is a hands-on activity aimed to apply the vocabulary of the theme of nature while having students work in collaborative teams. Students will be touched in multiple ways by this activity either by satisfying their competitive personality or their curiosity for natural discoveries. Students will enjoy learning their thematic vocabulary while on the search for treasures in your school yard. Connecting the words on the list with the actual objects through multiple senses will create memorable link and help students remember the lesson. Students will practice their oral skills in Spanish by giving a short report on their scavenger hunt and telling about the treasures they had found. The list of treasures may also serve as students' study guide for their vocabulary quizzes or examinations.
