This project is an ideal summative assessment for Spanish 1 or Spanish 2 students studying house and furniture. The goal is for students to illustrate, design, describe, and label the house of their dreams. The project offers students many different ways to differentiate by allowing them to present their dream house using a variety technological mediums, and encourages them to get creative when designing the house of their dreams according to their interests and passions.
Included in the project are lesson plan tips, a student instruction sheet, and a detailed rubric based on ACTFL's Novice Proficiency standards.
The project is designed to encourage the use of technology when presenting the final product, but could also easily be used in a classroom where technology isn't available by encouraging students to hand-draw or cut out magazine photos of their dream house instead.
