This is a presentation that I use when doing the read aloud for "La Casa del Bosque" by Laura Ingalls Wilder during our Historical Fiction/Wisconsin Unit.
The slides have differentiated sentence stems on them for students to use on a notecard during the read aloud. I have students draw a picture and fill out the sentence stems as I am reading.
On different days they will draw and write about characters, the setting, artifacts (objects), problems, and solutions.
After reading each day, I have students share their notecards either with the class, with a partner or with a small group.
Since students are writing about the story elements, I typically have them write a summary of the book at the end.
Please remember that this presentation is in SPANISH.
