Product Description
This is a video that quickly demonstrates how to make several different foods. The students are able to give their opinion of the foods by circling an adjective that is listed for each dish or by writing in an adjective for each dish. The adjectives used are for the words:
tasty, salty, juicy, healthy, sweet, good, bad, disgusting, flavorful, sour, greasy and fresh.
The foods that are made consist of several ingredients. I write the ingredients in Spanish to highlight the ingredients that are used to prepare the dish. It also allows the students to know which recipe they are on since there are 18 different dishes prepared. Before each dish is prepared we review what the Spanish food words mean. You don't have to pause it before each dish is prepared, this is just how I keep them focused.
The students are also asked to rate the dish on a scale of 1-10 writing the number of their rating using a Spanish word.
The follow up questions ask:
What were some of the ingredients from your favorite dish? Write the ingredients in Spanish with the English translation.
What are some of the ingredients that you see used frequently? Write them in Spanish with the English translation.
What are some of the ingredients that you have at your house? Write them in Spanish with the English translation.
What are some of the ingredients that you don’t recognize? Write them in Spanish and try to re-watch the video so you can figure out the meaning and write it in English. It is okay to leave it blank if you don’t figure it out after you re-watch.
Finally the student are asked to label 9 pictures in Spanish which are frequently used in the video.
