This is a 3-day unit. It is entirely in French. The film is rated PG-13, and the only questionable part (which you can easily skip with kids) happens in Day 2, and I put a note in the Day 2 guide about it for the teacher.
I designed this entire unit to take place after the students have learned the subjunctive, but it also includes space to work on the past tense (p.c. and imparfait) and the futur simple.
I divided the film into three days, so each segment is 25-30-ish minutes.
This zip file includes:
-a 2-page handout for Day 1 AND an answer key
-a 2-page handout for Day 2 AND an answer key
-a 2-page handout for Day 3 AND an answer key
-a 1-page handout that outlines the tenses needed for the unit
-a 3-page document with 5 conversation questions for each day (all use upper-level grammar : si clauses, conditional, subjunctive, imparfait....)
*The only things NOT included in the answer keys are the summary and prediction sections since those will vary from student to student.
The handouts for each day include the following :
-Part 1 is 10-short answer questions
-Part 2 gives students elements of a sentence in the subjunctive, and they have to put it together and conjugate the verbs correctly
-Part 3 requires students to use the p.c./imp. to write about what happened that day in the movie
-Part 4 requires students to predict the next day's segment using the futur simple
All files are Word docs, so they are 100% editable!
