This partner, info-gap, speaking activity is well-received by my students. They enjoy practicing vocabulary to describe family members with these two television families: The Simpsons and Family Guy. This activity corresponds well with Realidades 1 Chapter 5A, but will work for any lesson on family vocabulary.
Even if students are not familiar with the families, they are able to use the images to answer their partner's questions.
*read questions aloud to their partner
*use images of these "famous" families to formulate sentences in Spanish to respond to their partner's questions
*write the answers provided by their partner
